We have an opening for a self motivated SQA Analyst to join the company's Software Quality Assurance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing our software applications and collaborating with other team members in all test phases and cycles. As a SQA Analyst, you will work on designing test cases and finding inconsistencies in our product line along with other team members. You have a sense of curiosity and skepticism and know how to diplomatically share your view points with others.


Position Duties & Responsibilities:

• Analysis of project/feature documents (PRD, software specifications and requirement documents, feature descriptions) to detect spec issues and usability issues prior to coding
• Verification and validation of requirements, usability and suitability to task from customer and business’ perspective
• Design and execute test cases and scenarios for both functional and non-functional requirements
• Investigate, report and retest software issues
• Track and report testing progress
• Demonstrate proficiency in the process, methodology and tools that the SQA team has implemented
• Become proficient with the product(s) and associated functionalities to which he/she has been assigned
• Participation in collaborative team problem solving sessions
• Peer review of written test cases
• Develop testing scripts and implement automated testing with Quick Test Professional
• Actively provide recommendation on SQA process and methodology improvements
• Mentor junior staff by providing them with orientation/knowledge on product areas as well as on the process and methodology followed by the SQA team


Qualifications:

• Computer Science degree, Technical Diploma or related experience with software testing
• Minimum 2 years of experience in quality assurance with exposure to manual and scripted testing of web applications
• Demonstrated ability to maintain and improve existing sets of test cases and scenarios
• Demonstrated ability to design and write new sets of test cases and scenarios
• Proficient computer hardware/software troubleshooting experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experienced in Test Track or other Defect Tracking System
• Expert knowledge of Windows Client operating systems, and also IE, Firefox, and Safari
• Familiarity with databases and SQL queries
• Experienced in test automation tools, e.g., QTP or any other GUI based test automation tools
• Conceptual familiarity with White Box testing
• Basic knowledge of AJAX, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, and HTML/XML
• Familiarity with Realtors and Real Estate marketing and in-depth knowledge of Move Products considered an asset
