Job Description:
Mobile client development for BlackBerry, iPhone, and Android mobile application platforms. Work collaboratively with mobile client and server development team on service integration and deployment.
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and test mobile client native application for BlackBerry, iPhone, and Android devices
• Work closely with product management to iterate user interface design and understand product requirements
• Facilitate the technical integration of the mobile clients with the mobile service gateway
Qualifications:
• Must work in Vancouver BC
• 5+ year working experience in Java development
• 2+ year recent working experience in mobile Java (J2ME/Blackberry)
• Working experience with Eclipse IDE
• Working experience with on-device debugging
• Experience with iPhone Objective C and/or Android SDK is a plus
• Experience with source control practice
• Experience with XMPP and web services is an asset
Top Characteristics of Candidate:
• Experience with client development on multiple mobile platforms
• Experience developing client/server/web interactions
• Deep understanding of mobile application design challenges
• Team player and proven ability to work across functional groups to facilitate system integration and service deployment
