PHP and MySQL Programmer (The Lower Mainland) Posted: 20 Oct 2009 11:37 PM PDT Our new website project needs a website developer who knows PHP and MySQL, or other coding languages that will trounce PHP and MySQL. I've been able to use my knowledge of CSS to create a layout and design for our site, so you'll get a really decent idea of what we're after. We decided to put the following information in point form for ease of reading. Although we feel it is pretty self-explanatory, we welcome the opportunity to clarify if necessary. Main Objective: Provide Clients with a service allowing them to create an account, create individual project pages, and upload files based on the membership package they have paid for. Project Budget: Between $5,000 and $15,000 CDN The Website Must: 1. Allow clients to create a log-in account with the following fields: First Name, Last Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Address1, Address2, City, State/Province, Country, Username, Password, Verify Password, E-mail address, telephone1, telephone2, fax, security question1, security answer1, security question2, security answer2. Once the information has been entered, the client will be asked to type in the security code shown and then use the check box to state that they agree to the terms and conditions and privacy statement. An email will then be sent to the client requiring them to verify that they created the account. Once verified, the client will be taken through the payment process. 2. Allow the client to select the type of membership they want and the payment method, which may include Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, and manual payments (cheque, money order, etc). The website will only be able to process the membership request when the payment is authorized. If the client pays by manual payment, the account will be created, but frozen until such a time as the manual payment is processed. 3. Apply a random and non-repeated client ID number of approximately 10 digits long, all numeric. Numbers can start with zeros. 4. Create a HOME page within a client's account where the client: can see their ID number, when they became a member, and the type of membership they currently have; receives instructions on navigating through the website; can see at glance the current date and time, number of projects, number of shared projects, and combined number of project views, and; a space for website news pertaining to new services, media spots, etc. 5. Create a PROJECT page whereby clients can create individual projects and see them cataloged on that page. Cataloged projects will include information, such as: the name of the project, when a project was created, what types of files are in the project, etc. There will also be options to delete the project from the client's project page. 6. Allow the client to click on a project from their project page to be taken to a separate page for that project. In this page, the client will see specifics about the files they have within the project (file name, file type, size of file, file ID number, date the file was created, etc). The client will be able to edit, delete, or transfer each file from this page. The client cannot delete the project itself from this page. 7. Allow the client to print off a templated document to show the files they have in an individual project along with any identifiers attached to the project, client, and/or files. 8. Provide the client with the ability to transfer a file to another registered owner or to another project within their own account without losing the date and time stamp. When transferring any file to any new location, the client must answer some questions about why they are making the transfer and who they are transferring to. The website will then send them an email request to verify the transaction. 9. From the client's individual project pages, the client can upload files, but the site needs to have the ability to restrict the files to certain types, limit the size of the files, and other details. A date and time stamp will be applied to the files, along with a 10 digit alphanumeric identification number that cannot be reused by any other client or file. 10. (Possible Phase 2) The client should have the ability to share the file and select whether the file will be available for viewing by the general public, other registered members of the website, or people who have been provided a username and password to view the files by the client. Clients should be able to select whether the password they provide to people will expire and in what time frame. Files will be made available on a separate site linked to this site. 11. Allow the client to submit a request for support via the SUPPORT page without using external email. I (we) need to be able to: 1. Access an administrative page to see the client information, including: number of clients; clients by membership type; clients by month; revenue (day, week, month, year); client activity logs (listed by client name ad/or ID; the number of files uploaded; the types of files uploaded, the amount of space the files consume; and memberships awaiting approval due to manual payments. 2. Suspend and reinitiate a client's account for any reason. 3. Access an administrative page to update news items that will be instantly shared to all clients on their home pages. 4. Access an administrative page to send mass emails off to clients who have subscribed to newsletters and updates. 5. Have the option of combining news updates with email updates. 6. Be able to respond to client support requests without using external email, but can send messages to client's external email. You must be able to: 1. Quote on this project based on the information I've provided (I want to avoid having multiple Non-Disclosure Agreements signed by various programmers. Once a programmer is chosen, an NDA will be made available); 2. Code using PHP and create a MySQL database or suggest other programming options that exceed my expectations with PHP and MySQL; 3. Provide at least three samples of websites you've created yourself and are currently active on the internet; 4. Complete this project on budget; 5. Complete this project within 3 months; 6. Ensure the code is extremely secure and tamper-proof; 7. Incorporate a credit card payment processing service like Moneris into the site. I will be setting up the account with someone like Moneris, but I'll need you to plug in their code. 8. Meet weekly or as needed to go over details. Sorry, we are not considering anyone or any business that we cannot meet with face to face. It is imperative to be able to meet to discuss creative direction and milestones. If you are thinking of contacting us from out of the immediate area, we appreciate your interest but ask that you don't waste your time as we will not consider alternative telecommuting options. |
