Project Resource
LifeLabs BC has an immediate opening for a Project Resource. This position will be full time contract for a minimum of 6 months and located at the Burnaby Reference Lab, which is the head office for the BC division of a national Canadian laboratory company.
The position will provide support to various projects. You will have 5+ years experience in a senior financial analytical role. Experience in a Healthcare environment is a definite asset. You will ideally have senior analyst experience in manufacturing environment or in a service or other environment where you have worked directly with operations. You have extensive proven analysis, forecasting/budgeting and modeling skills and experience and have excellent knowledge of and experience with financial evaluation, statistical, modeling and advanced analytical methods and tools. You are extremely comfortable manipulating data and data mining as well as translating complex financial data into user friendly reports, graphs, charts or models. You have strong business acumen and have experience with business, gaining an understanding of business drivers and helping the business to be more efficient and effective. You have a track record of adding value in any organization you've worked for. You are a self-starter with an enquiring mind and a proven ability to understand and resolve complex problems and to think on your feet. You are comfortable working at a detailed level but are also a strategic thinker with an ability to analyze numbers in terms of their impact on the big picture. You are extremely comfortable working with undefined problems and coming up with potential solutions. You are self motivated but also an effective team player. You have a proven track record interacting with various stakeholders and multiple departments and have a reputation of being a valuable member of the team and adding value to the business wherever you have worked. You have outstanding verbal and written business communication skills. You have expert level excel, modeling and database skills.
