JOB DESCRIPTION – MARKETING ANALYST


ABOUT THE POSITION:


Title: Marketing Analyst


Department: Store Support


Reports To: Brand Manager


Status: Full-Time








OBJECTIVE





Working closely with the Marketing, Web, and Business Driver Teams, your activities will include analyzing sales and marketing initiatives, identifying trends, traffic pattern analysis, and identifying new business opportunities. You will also help in developing strategies to achieve new opportunities.





KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY








1. Identifying Business Opportunities


• Through analysis of initiatives identify areas to improve and new potential opportunities


• Work with business team to develop a strategy to achieve new opportunities





2. Marketing Reporting


• Run all promotional reporting analyzing direct mail, newspaper advertising, flyers, coupons, telemarketing, promotions


• Identify trends and opportunities for future initiatives





3. Web Reporting


• Analyze web KPI through using our web analytics programs


• Look for opportunities to improve revenue and brand recognition





4. Traffic Reporting


• Provide daily traffic numbers for daily flash


• Report on weekly traffic trends; identify issues and opportunities by region and by store (as required)


• Forecast traffic by campaign compared to previous period and previous years and similar campaigns





5. Customer Database


• Conduct daily audits and clean-up of marketing customer records


• Identify customer trends and opportunities


• Ensure store compliance regarding customer privacy and security


• Build new store database and rebuild any existing as required


• Maintain/manage relationship with Marketworks NSB team


• Liaise between stores and marketing regarding in store Marketworks





6. Market Research


• Program and analyze ongoing marketing surveys


• Organize and summarize results, and provide conclusions

SKILLS


• Intermediate user of MICROSOFT OFFICE 2000 with a focus on Excel


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment


• Comfortable developing marketing analytical reports in a timely manner and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner








QUALIFICATIONS





EDUCATION:


• Business Diploma or Degree with a marketing focus, or related discipline








EXPERIENCE:


• 1-2 years of proven experience working with and analyzing data and customer databases


• 1-2 years experience with CRM


• Experience working within a marketing department and presenting reports is an asset


• 2 years experience summarizing findings and presenting executive reports that include challenges, opportunities and recommendations


• Experience with NSB Marketworks is desirable
