JOB DESCRIPTION ALLOCATION ANALYST
Title: Allocation Analyst
Department: Merchandising
Reports To: Director, Planning & Allocations
Status: Temporary Full-Time (1 year Maternity Leave Coverage)
OBJECTIVE
To maximise inventory productivity by reducing markdowns and increase sales through accurate merchandise allocation to your store groupings based on store profiling, analysis of current selling trends, and consistent communication with Store Managers and Regional Directors.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Ensure appropriate allocation of goods based on sales history and forecast
Maintain ongoing and timely replenishment of merchandise
Ensure stock is at optimum levels at all times by monitoring merchandise needs on an ongoing basis
Ensure accurate placement of merchandise by building and maintaining store profiles
Assist the merchandising team in their decision-making by gathering and interpreting quantitative analysis of store sales
Ensure ongoing productivity of your store grouping during peak times and/or in associate absence
Communicate openly and regularly with the Director of Allocations re: all problems and concerns relating to own areas of job responsibilities as well as any broader issues that may arise
Use technology and all available resources to increase productivity and departmental efficiencies

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
Retail Math an asset
EXPERIENCE:
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, exposure to Inventory Management Systems
Retail experience essential
