Overview

Invis Inc., Canada's Mortgage Experts, is the largest network of Mortgage Brokers in Canada managing two strong brands: Invis and Mortgage Intelligence. We are currently seeking a Web Content and New Media aficionado who has strong communication and project management skills to assist with the development and management of internal and customer facing web portals. The successful candidate will contribute to the creation and maintenance of a high quality user experience for all the company websites as well as act as support for agent websites.

We're looking for a champion who understands the technical makeup of the sites and SEO, and works with our technology partners and vendors to provide functionality, navigation, architecture, content management and site maintenance.

This person will also be responsible for maintaining good relationships with internal and external customers, vendors and partners. S/he will manage incoming change requests and be responsible for managing the Content Management System (CMS) and brand guidelines as they relate to the sites. S/he will also work with external vendors to manage the deployment of features and functionality, take the lead on projects that are web related, create and maintain new media promotions and effectively communicate between all associated parties.

Key areas of responsibility
• Contribute to the positioning of company portals ensuring alignment with business strategy and corporate objectives and participate in the development of new features and web tools.


1. Content Management:
• Supervise all content related aspects
• Manage content updates and assist in development of new content using existing site templates, publishing tools, style sheets and brand utilization.
• Develop and adhere site quality indexes and ongoing maintenance guidelines to ensure pages, links and images are loading and working correctly; report and resolve technical issues in a timely fashion.
• Manage projects and processes for the design, support and maintenance of the site.
• Coordinate the content development for our portals for prospects, clients and professionals ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards
• Ensure that web tools remain relevant by keeping abreast of best practices and evolving web technologies, assessing their relevance in the context of Invis and making recommendations for improvements


2. Website Monitoring & Reporting:
• Develop and execute a program of periodic checks of feature functionality to ensure quality control
• Recommend, compile and report site metrics
• Provide support and input into technical, architectural and content management issues.
• Leverage Online reporting capabilities to optimize campaigns on a frequent and regular basis as deemed appropriate.
• Maximize the return on investment by analyzing statistical reports on the performance of external sites and make recommendations and implement enhancements
• Work with external vendors to maximize SEO of sites


3. Intranet Management:
• Manage housed database profiles, form and functionality; technical liaison for use of online custom communication programs
• Manage inbound user e-mails - respond to customer comments, input or complaints by delivering to the appropriate internal departments for follow up and resolution.


4. Online Marketing and New Media Program Development:
• Assist in the deployment of programs and initiatives designed to drive web traffic, registration, broker referrals and other marketing goals.
• Manage the production and successful implementation of e-mail newsletter campaigns ensuring that these are aligned with Invis' marketing strategy while managing relationships with external suppliers and respecting deadlines
• Create an online community that supports two independent brands
• Management of e-newsletters, blogs, news feeds, videos and other media content
• leverage online networking sites to grow brand awareness, drive traffic and referrals
• Liaise with vendors or agencies, as required.
• Contribute to the generation of strategies and plans to better leverage the online environment to support goals.


Qualifications

Education, experience and technical skills
• 3 + years experience in new media, communications or content management role,
• Minimum of five years of experience in web marketing
• University degree in e-Commerce, Marketing or Communications or relevant experience
• Advanced communication skills, written and oral in English; French bi-lingual is an asset.
• Experience with web publishing tools, specifically WordPress, content management systems.
• Clear understanding of SEO and SEM practices and ability to build an organic program to support web traffic growth
• Experience with web marketing, online communications and project management

Soft skills and competencies
• Must work well with minimal supervision and take initiative. Must work well under pressure.
• Excellent verbal, written communication and research skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with IT and business units at all levels across the organization (management, end-users, project teams, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail while managing several tasks at the same time.
• Excellent organizational, project management and project execution skills.
• Ability to manage external vendors and services as required.
• Knowledge of website and page-design best practices
• Team player.
• Knowledge of and ability to use the web in a business context
• Familiarity with small business leaders, their challenges and interests, and their needs with respect to value-added content
• Familiarity with electronic tools, technology and trends relating to intranets, portals and collaborative sites
• Initiative and creativity
• Experience with a content management tool (CMS)
• HTML skills an asset, as well proficiency in common web languages (HTML, CSS and RSS), content management systems and web authoring software.
• Must be comfortable with or willing to learn new technologies and social applications.
