Web Developer – 6 month contract
Design and implement web pages in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring the delivery of high quality product(s) to our consumers. The ideal candidate possesses a strong generalist web programming background and has experience working on dynamic, high traffic sites. Able to create realistic estimates and scope of work required for new features or product launches.
Responsibilities:
• Design, rapidly prototype, and implement scalable, reliable, and maintainable web features and pages.
• Proactively interface with the Web Producer, Community Manager, Game Technical Director, IT department and external development team to ensure a high quality and useful product.
• Optimize existing web platforms for speed, reliability and scalability.
• Enforce code quality through test driven development.
• Distil product requirements into design and technical specifications.
• Respond to and solve emergent service or web problems, write and build code to prevent problem recurrence.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or related technical degree preferred.
• Very strong experience with ASP.net, Javascript, CSS, AJAX, HTML & HTML 5.
• Experience supporting live high-traffic web sites.
• Experience with scalability issues.
• Experience with social web features.
• Experience with MS SQL server and relational databases.
• Rapid learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in user interface design.
• Experience working on cross-browser platforms.
