Hi, we're OpenCal. We're looking for a Lead LAMP Developer to head development of our existing product and a new one too!
About you:
A self-starter excited about new technologies and awesome web apps. You've shipped or contributed to something cool before (an open-source project, a modern web app, or maybe even a rejected iphone app). You're an expert in clean PHP, MySQL, and JS/AJAX code in MVC frameworks (like CodeIgniter). And if you happen to also know Python/Django and/or Ruby/Rails, that's a plus.
A person of many trades, beyond back-end coding, you're also comfortable with sysadmin on the LAMP stack, architecture design, command line scripts, svn/git, integration with HTML/CSS front-end, API integration, security, and payment gateways.
On the personal front, you've got great work ethic and a positive attitude. You communicate well, can handle criticism, debate your ideas, deliver on promises, and realize that in the end, it's all about building and shipping an amazing experience for customers.

We're an ambitious Vancouver-based startup founded by two user interface designers. OpenCal is built on PHP/CodeIgniter, MySQL, and JS/jQuery. We launched publicly 2 months ago and expect to grow rapidly. We're looking for someone that can grow with us long-term.

Terms:
This is a full-time lead developer position. You would be in charge of development of the existing product, some jr. developers, as well as the design and coding of a new architecture for an upcoming product.
Salary is negotiable, and there's potential for company equity based on your contribution.
