Hi. We're looking for a Lead Web Engineer to head development of our existing product and a new one too! This is an opportunity to play a key role within the company. Although we're currently based out of Vancouver, or search for talent has taken us to Montreal (hometown of one of our founders).
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the OpenCal codebase and server administration. Work on new features and the occasional bug fix.
- Design and coding of a new architecture for an upcoming product.
- Work with the founders to manage development.
Requirements
- Expert in clean PHP, MySQL, and JS/AJAX code in MVC frameworks (OpenCal uses CodeIgniter).
- Passion for new technologies and awesome web apps.'
- Shipped or contributed to something cool before (an open-source project, a modern web app, or maybe even a rejected iphone app).
- Experience integrating payment gateways.
Bonus points
- Expert in Python and/or Rails 3.0.
- Worked with Git or Mercurial.
- Love of Apple products and design philosophy.
