Our client is a well established software company based in the interior of BC. The company develops and sells industry leading software throughout North America, mostly to Public Sector organizations. The company has over 400 customers and is selling into a sector that has 100,000 potential customers in North America alone.

To take advantage of the huge market opportunity ahead of them the company is undergoing a significant expansion of its sales function and needs a VP Sales to build and manage the sales team.

Key Requirements

Candidates need to have the following:

* Proven and verifiable track record of sales and sales management success primarily in the SME market
* Experience selling into the public sector
* Experience with Web-based or SaaS-based sales model
* Candidates must have extensive US market experience
* Consultative, relationship selling skills and personality
* Appreciation and understanding of transparent performance metrics to continuously improve sales programs.
* Experience using sales automation tools and a systematic approach to sales activity tracking
* Team player with a high level of energy and a people person

Compensation is market based with a strong equity component. Candidates must be based at Corporate Head Office which is in the interior of BC, Canada.
