Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Director, Sales, the Sales Engineer will support the sales process by offering technical process knowledge that addresses customer requirements regarding the optimal application of NGRAIN solutions. This includes working with customers to determine their functional and technical requirements, responding to and performing impact analysis on incoming service requests, assisting with estimating opportunities and work requests, and creating functional and high level technical design specifications.

Job Description & Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

* Provide analysis of client requirements, by working with customers to translate their problems and needs into requirements
* Provide technical presentations and demonstrations
* Assist Account Executives with opportunities, working with team members and driving opportunities
* Partners and works closely with account executives, business development, customers and the professional services team to ensure all sales and implementation issues are handled in a thorough and timely manner
* Dotted line responsibility and liaison with professional services teams
* Help develop and review proposals
* Lead the solution design and estimation process
* Responsible for workbook (NGRAIN estimation tool) development and maintenance
* Determine client requirements and technical specifications with the sales team based on customer needs
* Develop and document functional and non-functional requirements as driven out by business requirements
* Attend and participate in all Sales functions and strategy meetings
* Support the Marketing and Engineering teams with structured product feedback, customer analysis and Product Metrics
* May require some travel

Required Education, Knowledge and Skills:

* Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and directing projects, work groups, and people
* Expertise in requirements gathering and design specification
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong presenter; skilled at facilitation and negotiation
* Exceptional analytical and creative problem solving abilities
* Ability to work independently as well as within a team
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* High proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly Excel
* Basic financial analysis understanding and experience
* Solution development life-cycle knowledge
* 3-5 years experience in business analysis and/or presales support
* Preferred backgrounds of:

1. Programming or computer graphics
2. Simulations or engineering
3. Business

* Assets would include:
o Experience in a military training environment
o Background and familiarity with 3D use in training and performance support solutions
