ROLE OVERVIEW
The Development Manager oversees all phases of the production and publishing cycle for Avatar virtual goods/accessories and Dynamic (animated) user interface themes. Ensure that products are brought to market on time, within budget and at the highest level of quality, while providing flawless customer service to key DP clients and business partners throughout the development process.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure successful, profitable and on-time delivery of all Xbox 360 Avatar projects (and beyond)
• Oversee day-to-day operations of a 6-10 person production team to ensure weekly production schedules are being met to the required quality and timing expectations of client.
• Direct management of a full time production coordinator.
• Partnering with Production team to drive and support development and delivery of high quality content that exceeds client expectations.
• Create project plans for all product collections assigned to the production team from the development stage forward and ensure delivery on-time and on-budget.
• Manage relationship and milestone deliverables with third party clients and other external vendors.
• Project and Client management providing millstone updates, approvals, feedback and submissions from creative brief to final delivery of content
• Collaborate as needed with Marketing, Sales, QA, Tech Teams, Distribution, Deployment, Localization, Finance and Legal.
• Identify project risks. Instigate and lead mitigation and contingency plans.
• Give status reports about content in development to project management.
• Work with internal developer support resources to solve external developer problems.
• Manage cross-functional project teams; assign and prioritize tasks; ensure deadlines are met


EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
• Project management experience: able to successfully manage multi-tiered client relationships.
• Internal development direction: able to oversee a 10+ person development team to facilitate successful completion of projects.
• Management experience.
• Able to prioritize, delegate and multitask while maintaining extreme attention to detail.
• A self-motivated individual who is able to manage upwards and is comfortable identifying issues and improving existing processes.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience or with 4-5 years project management in the game industry
• High-level understanding of today’s gaming business with an extensive familiarity with today’s digital entertainment landscape
• High proficiency with office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and graphics software (i.e. Photoshop).
• Exceptional organization and written/oral communication abilities.
• Ability to own, manage and prioritize multiple projects within tight deadlines.
• A self-starter who is able to complete projects with minimal supervision while maintaining extraordinary attention to detail.
• Adept at building relationships across various levels of the organization
• Passion, confidence and drive: ready to hit the ground running and contribute to a nimble, startup environment.
• Strong multitasking, follow-through and follow-up skills.
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills and experience applying these skills to resolve project issues

JOB TYPE AND COMPENTATION
• Full time position
• Salary range $65K-$80K annually
