Rights, choices and security for all British Columbians—the Public Guardian and Trustee protects the legal rights and interests of children and youth as well as adults who require assistance with decision making, and also administers the estates of deceased people. We act as a fiduciary for approximately $765 million of trust assets.

Play a critical behind-the-scenes role with far-reaching impact on the integrity of our databases as you secure the operations of our in-house computer systems and network connections. You’ll also resolve all security breaches and vulnerability issues. From design to installation, maintenance to fine-tuning, you’ll be the subject-matter resource on all production databases as you work to optimize data availability and develop related policies and procedures.

Certified as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), you bring a degree or diploma in computer science to this role with eight years of equivalent work experience. CISP or similar security certification would be an asset.
