Role Summary
This position is based largely at one of the client sites of our partner, Perfecto Mobile and is to provide professional engineering services that support extensive testing of cellular handset platforms that are in development. The scope of testing includes execution of specific test suites via the Perfecto Testing Platform with strong emphasis on development and execution of test automation scripts. You will design and developed these scripts to meet specific test plan objectives. You will work closely with one or multiple cellular platform development teams building leading edge products that integrate various components from component factories distributed around the world into target cellular platforms. Responsibilities go beyond hands on design and execution to include full technical and project management of the client account. Back-up engineering support is available from both Wavefront and Perfecto engineering staff to ensure client satisfaction. As the successful candidate's experience with these systems matures, it is expected that engineering support needs from Perfecto and Wavefront will diminish to the point cross site support provides primarily resource coverage for vacation, etc.
Key Responsibilities
1. Understands, and can build test plans and scripts including detailed design, configuration, and troubleshooting using in-house equipment or third party collaborators/resources.
2. Guides wireless testing procedures as done by self or developers utilizing the Perfecto Testing Platform and handset resources.
3. Provides feedback and input into testing outcomes and procedures as requested by developers.
4. Documents and maintains current data base information on equipment and software versions and so on used during testing for any internal system.
5. Builds sound understanding of third party testing protocols such that when developers use these resources the engineer understands how they operate and how test results are derived thus guiding the developers.
6. Maintains and conducts preventative maintenance on systems and hardware assuring the integrity of the test platform and the results. This includes Tier 1, 2 and 3rd level support.
7. Creates reports on the utilization of testing facilities.
8. Identifies pass or fail results for submitted testing and test suites and steps to re-produce issues.
9. Schedules testing facilities in conjunction with marketing, account leaders and ongoing overall business demands.
10. Quickly builds relationships with a wide range of technically cooperative, flexible and energized teams who can successfully accomplish identified goals.
11. Integration of the Perfecto Testing Platform with client data systems especially for tracking of issues and issue resolutions.

7. Is dedicated to providing superior service to customers and users and can translate their feedback into improvements.
8. Learns quickly on the fly even when new or unexpected challenges are presented.

10. Efficiently and effectively managers his/her time.
11. Strong knowledge of PHP or extensive experience with similar scripting languages.
12. Five + years working experience in the cellular industry.
13. Experience with Test Automation Processes.
14. Analytical trouble shooting.
15. Experience with mobile computing platforms and OS including Symbian, Android & Java.
16. Fluent in English.
17. International travel required but not extensive - initial training then 2x per year.

B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
