We are currently looking for a talented individual to join our team at the Richmond, BC office in the role of Sr. Web Developer.
This is a senior/lead position accountable for all the responsibilities of developing front end applications that meet the objectives of new or modified consumer features being developed by the organization, while organizing team members to deliver re-usable well architected solutions.
Must Have Skills:
• Server side / front end development with .NET Framework 2.0 and 3.x (ASP.NET, C#).
• 3+ years of AJAX, JSON and OO-JavaScript experience.
• In-depth knowledge of available JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as jQuery.
• Strong competency in CSS and semantic markup.
• Strong experience with performance optimization for highly-trafficked web applications.
• Understanding of service concepts using WCF.
• Strong understanding of SEO best practices.
• Computer science concepts, data structures, algorithms and architecture.
• Solid understanding of OOP, XML, XSL, Web Services, SQL
• Working knowledge of UML, Visio, and other Technical Documentation tools and methodologies.
• Rich Internet Application (RIA) technologies (such as Flash and Silverlight)

Responsibilities:
• Develop consumer based features/applications that will excite and please a user base of millions.
• Collaborate with Product mgt regarding product definition, schedule, scope, and project-related decisions.
• Improve and mature our development methodologies/practices.
Education:
• BS CS preferred.
Experience:
• 5+ year’s commercial experience in developing highly-trafficked web applications.
• 2+ years as a technical lead is a plus
• Experience developing consumer web sites with innovative UI
