Position Summary
The Hosting Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the people, process and technology behind Radiant’s fast growing cloud computing business.
Reporting to the Director of Advanced Hosting, the Manager will work closely with the product management, engineering and technical support teams to ensure that services are implemented according to contract specifications and managed to meet critical SLA targets.
The ideal candidate will have in depth knowledge and experience with IT service delivery management and control frameworks such as ITIL and COBIT.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for the overall management and day to day operations of Radiant’s managed hosting and cloud computing services
• Provide coaching and direction to a team of IT and system administrators
• Identification of current and potential future operational challenges and assessment of process/system improvement
• Project planning and implementation of operational and system improvement initiatives
Skills and Experience Required
• Undergraduate degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of IT and data centre management experience
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of servers, storage and networking
• Experience working with server virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware)
• Experience in the use of and/or implementation of COBIT and ITIL
• Aptitude to look beyond daily operations to potential future challenges and assess new methods to increase operational efficiencies through automation
• Strong ability to achieve targets and deliverables
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Dedication to the creation and maintenance of a collective team environment
• Proven experience motivating teams to achieve strong results in critical delivery periods
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
