Vancouver startup is seeking a local entrepreneurial, commercially-minded webmaster to manage the website that will sell and support a revolutionary code-profiling software product targeted at games and web developers. There are multiple aspects to the role, which initially you'll handle on your own, then by building a team as demand increases:

• Take responsibility for site look-and-feel and usability (more Twitter and Google than Facebook and Yahoo)
• Own the spec, then manage contract programmers to build remote-hosted site.
• Select suitable e-comm module.
• Select suitable CMS to manage site copy (including editorial and calls to action) and keep it fresh
• Build user community using suitable blog, BB, FAQs, and email support modules.
• Test landing page optimization, test copy and workflow around sales proposition.
• Provide live analytics/dashboard of A/B testing (of pricepoint, sales prop, calls to action, look-and-feel, etc.).
• Manage serious SEO & AdWords (we want to be above the fold for just about any conceivable search).

Quantitative qualifications: 5 years direct experience near the top of a web team, and 10 years overall professional experience post-degree. This is a key role (employee #3).

Qualitative qualifications: to perform this role, you'd need to be both creative and commercial, have some international experience, a team player outlook, and superb written and spoken communication skills. This is not a 9-5 role, and while we want a professional and respectful atmosphere, prima donnas "need not apply."

We are a Vancouver based business looking for a programmer to help us with an online project that is nearing its launch date. This may be PT or FT depending on the applicants skill set.

We will require the following:

- you MUST reside in the Lower Mainland or you will not be responded to.
- fluent with php/mysql
- fluent with html/css
- fluent with jquery ajax
- familiar with mvc frameworks, specifically cakephp

We are looking for someone who is familiar with Wordpress and/or Joomla. We need this person for "touch up" work for our websites. The work is quite basic, and can be done with your own computer. We are looking for someone who is RELIABLE, and can get the work done in the time they say they can get it done. Students are welcome to apply!
