A computer consulting company based in Port Moody is looking for a qualified field technician to join our team. Candidate must be willing to travel since work is primarily conducted at our clients place of business, within the tri-city area. Reliable transportation is a must, being that candidate will be going to more than one job site within a day. This is position is ideally for an independent contractor who is looking for full time work.
Responsibilities :
Strong hardware/software technical skills
Strong people and relationship management skills
Must have reliable transportation, car insurance and valid driver’s license
Computer certifications preferred
Flexibility to work standard schedule with occasional weekend rotating hours
The ability to troubleshoot problems with servers and computer equipment
Properly evaluate alternatives and determine the best course of action in any given troubleshooting scenario for our clients
Make recommendations for improvements to the operation to maximize speed, utilization and customer satisfaction
The ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, independently
Ability to lift weights of up to 60 pounds
Knowledge of communications industry
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
