Joomla designer wanted (work from home)

Posted: 17 Oct 2009 08:45 PM PDT

I'm looking for a web designer with Joomla experience who may be interested in a small project or some side work. I would give you access to my GoDaddy server so this work could be done from home at your convenience and would possibly be ongoing.

I have a site started in Jooma with some basic templates installed, but no time to learn and work on it so I'd like someone to help build and complete it. It will be a music site for a record label, nothing too complicated, I would want artist pages, audio clips, embedded youtube, perhaps a music store and mail order sections etc. I may want some of the general templates and headers etc edited so someone with Photoshop experience would be a bonus.

Serious inquiries only... please send rates, links/samples of previous work and any questions you may have.

Thanks

We do alot of work where there is existing code and that code is not optimal, you must be flexible and capable enough to help improve upon such legacy systems, plus have the ability to recreate things from scratch as necessary and appropriate for each situation!

* superior understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues with CSS, XHTML, JS.

AJAX / PHP Developer Needed (Yaletown)

Posted: 17 Oct 2009 05:32 PM PDT

We're a growing travel and vacation rental oriented company, looking for more talent to add to our expanding team. We already have a small, highly experienced PHP/MySQL team, however we are looking to add a person with a fair bit of AJAX experience to help diversify our line-up. Our current projects are all coming along really well, however we want slick AJAX interfaces for everything, and our choice for that right now is to either learn AJAX, or hire someone who knows it. So, ideally we'd prefer to hire someone, as our lead programmer is old and cranky, and would rather not learn new tricks.

If you think you can wow us, send in some cool AJAX code samples, an online portfolio, resume, etc. People with AJAX/PHP/MySQL oriented calendar and mapping applications are really going to get us excited!

Our offices are laid back, and casual. Our work days are 9-5, and we have a fridge and cupboard full of snacks. We've been hearing tell of a Wii being brought in soon too.

This is a full time position, in our office in Yaletown. Telecommuters, and off site contractors will be ignored, and we will think bad things about you and your ability to read simple and short posts.
