We seek a Developer/Programmer with a desire to push the interactive technology bar. You are a coder with a clear understanding of database integration. You possess strong communication skills and effectively work within a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities:

• Build, extend and maintain a variety of websites.
• Work closely with technical director to understand technical requirements.
• Provide updates on project progress and assist in the budget-costing process from a technical development perspective.
• Make recommendations about technologies and software packages for project-specific requirements.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of .NET/PHP 5 connected to MSSQL/MySQL databases.

A 4 month development project developing a new feature to our flagship product, TLM, within the product development team.


Responsibilities:


Work within a small and focused product development group
Collaborate with sales, product management, education, services and marketing groups
Design, develop and deliver a Flex based interface on our flagship product


Required Skills:


Five plus (5+) years of experience, successfully developing rich web based interfaces
Two plus (2+) years of experience with ActionScript
Development experience with Flash, Flex and Flex Builder
Experience with usability, user interaction design and info-graphics
Basic design skills
Superior problem solving skills
Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to perform comfortably in a fast paced, team and deliverables-oriented work environment

Position Overview
With a strong software engineering background and proven web development experience, the Front End Engineer is expected to work on front end and presentation tiers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop web components and presentation components for websites.
• Apply your knowledge of Web technologies including Javascript, PHP, CSS, HTML, Flash/Flex, graphics, and video to create dynamic and highly interactive Web experience for millions of users worldwide.
• Work in a tight production loop to implement requested product features in specified releases.
• Work closely with the Web Platform team who provide restful web services for interacting with data features.

Required Technical Skills and Experience

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
• A minimum of 5 years industry technical experience working on consumer facing Web sites. Please provide URLs to sites you have worked on and your role on these sites.
• Strong knowledge of front end Web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, Flash, Flex, graphics, and video.
• Real experience with a modern Javascript library like YUI, jQuery or Dojo is required.
• 2+ years experience with object orientated Javascript and PHP. Knowledge of Java and C/C++ desired; knowledge/experience with Ruby, Python, Erlang, and Scala highly beneficial.
• 2+ years experience working with at least 2 modern Web frameworks like RoR, Django, Symfony, Struts etc.
• 2+ years experience working with databases and good knowledge of SQL. Oracle, MySQL and PostgreSQL experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HTTP and REST are expected.
• Real experience with consuming XML in Javascript is highly desirable
• Real experience with single page web applications – Javascript applications consuming RESTful resources – is highly desirable.
• Real experience with Test Driven Development is required; please explain where you have used TDD before on projects.
• Basic knowledge of security and cryptography, single sign-on and LDAP directory services.
• Knowledge of source code management: CVS, Subversion, Git and/or Perforce.
• Both Windows and Linux experience are required.
