The Company:
We are a busy, award-winning deli/bakery with a production facility and 3 retail outlets. We serve the best Jewish deli food and baked goods this side of New York and are regarded as one of the best bakery/delis in Vancouver.
Summary of Position:
This position is responsible for shipping and receiving and storage of all products and supplies made at Solly’s Central Production facility
Key Areas of Responsibility:
• Review, assemble, package and ship all baking, wholesale and cooking orders to other stores and customers as required
• Responsible for receiving all returned trays, racks, pans, etc from retail stores
• Keep a daily up-to-date record of inventory and assist with monthly inventories
• Keep cooler, freezer, storage room and loading bay organized and clean
• Oversee receipt of supplies to ensure product is accurate and stored in a proper and food-safe manner
• Inform the Logistics Production Coordinator when goods are not returned from shops or not returned in a suitable manner
• Loading all products in a manner so as to maintain Solly’s high standards for taste, quality and presentation
• Report any unusual shortages of inventory to Production Coordinator
Position Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar position
• Must have a Canadian drivers license
• Be comfortable working in a freezer for extended periods of time
• Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and attention to detail
• Be able to work flexible hours and weekends
• Must be able to lift 25kg
