Sales Clerk position available for a convenience store/newstand in one of the finest buildings in downtown Vancouver.
The store is about 400 sq.ft. and sells beverages, ice cream, candies, gifts, lottery tickets, tobacco products, and handles drycleaning orders. The store is inside one of the well known office buildings, near the Vancouver Art Gallery and skytrain stations.
Easy work dealing with very pleasant customers, most of whom are well known executives, bankers, lawyer and other professional working in the building. This is a great place to develop a network with executives for your next or future job.
Applicants must be 19 or older in order to sell tobacco products and lottery tickets. You must be reliable, honest, customer oriented and possess good communication skills.
We are looking to fill two shifts from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, but may consider a full-time or other hours.
The owner has to slow down and is trying to sell the store for health reasons. The wages offered is minimum, but a very attractive bonus will be offered for a meaningful increase in sales (a percentage of net profit) and/or sale of the business (20% of sale price up to $10,000). Details to be discussed.
Ideal candidate will live in downtown or a short commuting distance by Skytrain, and have knowledge and experience with lottery sales.
