Within the Paragon family there are 19 retail pharmacies in BC, Alberta and Manitoba and 1 home healthcare store in Vernon, BC. The company¡¦s 3 central fill pharmacies in BC (Richmond and Kelowna) and Winnipeg serve its long-term care facility customers. We are currently recruiting a full time Pharmacy Technician for our Crestview - Vancvouer location.
The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for supporting the Pharmacy Manager and staff Pharmacists in serving the community. The Pharmacy Technician provides Customer Service, and performs duties in compliance with the Standards of Practice.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
Enter new clients and new prescriptions
Process refill requests
Count and label prescriptions
Prepare Blister Packs
New Meter Training
Price prescriptions
Pharmacy ordering, returns and inventory
Enter and maintain patient, drug and doctor profiles
Run medical expense invoices
Prepare insurance claim forms
Assist customers with their questions, problems and complaints
Operate a cash register
As the ideal candidate, you bring a Pharmacy Technician Diploma from a certified College or a minimum of 1 years experience in a dispensary. You have working knowledge of pharmacy computer systems and are willing to work flexible hours at different locations. You have superior customer service skills and you are detail oriented, self motivated and a real team player.
