Personal Care Attendants
Personal care attendants required for physically disabled, young man with Duchene Muscular Dystrophy (quadrapelegic limitations) in private home.
Care is needed from 7:30am to 11:30 am on Wednesdays and Thursdays and also on call for other day shifts (6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm) and night shifts (10pm. to 6am Monday to Sunday)
Duties Include
*transfers with an electric or manual lift. There is no physical lifting at all.
*assisting in turning and positioning client in bed
*assisting in dressing,toileting,showering,feeding, etc.
*driving a full-sized wheelchair accessible van
*light housekeeping (dishes done manually,sweeping the floor,mopping the floor,dusting, meal preparation, washing of laundry,removal of garbage to outside garbage can)
* walking and feeding medium sized dog and cat
Must be fluent in English orally and written
Must have a valid Canadian Social Insurance Card
Must be in good health and able to provide a doctors letter stating so.
Must have a clean criminal record and be willing to provide a criminal record search
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY JUST BEING PATIENT , WILLING TO LEARN AND A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOUR IS ALL THE EXPERIENCE NEEDED
Must live within a 10 kilometre radius of ABBOTSFORD CITY HALL
Rate of Pay: $16.00
