Operations Manager





Your Mission:





• Partner with store management team to achieve Excellence in Store Operations & Navigation. The Operations Manager is responsible to navigate the store to sustain short and long term profitability.





Your Goals:





• Together with the Store Steering Group responsible for achieving the goals of Voice, CSI, Market Capital, Commercial Review and P&L results.


• Lead the goal and bimonthly forecast process


• Achieve operational excellence by securing operational and administrative procedures, and working routines that meet the Administration Commercial Review standards (ASR guidelines).


• Identify opportunities in the store P&L to improve efficiencies, minimize costs, and maximize profitability and in partnership with store steering group, plan and implement solutions/actions.


• Prepare, analyze, assess & communicate all financial & operational/quality goals, results and targets.


• Develop annual action plan to execute Business Plan and Commercial goals.


• Provide regular feedback to store management team on the Store and Food Services P&L results.


• Collaborate with peers to plan and implement short and long term strategies to improve operational efficiency and create a positive shopping experience.


• Ensure that the team maintains a safe, clean and orderly store in “shape as new” and is compliant with internal standards and external regulations.


• Ensure that the LP team is supported regarding sensitive issues including but not limited to harassment, coworker misconduct, information security and lawsuits.


• Optimize the recovery of losses and minimize the impact of store activities on the environment.


• Hire and develop a Controlling team who focus on achieving P&L goals, ensuring a safe and positive customer experience, supporting and developing co-workers and operating to CR standards.


• Support and evaluate new financial programs, promotions, products and services that support the needs of current or future customers, or that support new strategic initiatives and manage or oversee their design, development and implementation based on projected profitability.


• Partner with HR to drive CPWH & productivity with Workforce Management as a tool.

• Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as they occur.

• Strategic, analytical and tactical abilities


• Highly developed organizational skills & Proven experience with full Profit and Loss Responsibility


• Strong interest and knowledge of home furnishings


• Ability to quickly develop in-depth knowledge of local market demographics and economic conditions


• 5-7 years high volume, multi-unit retail operations/finance experience


• Undergraduate degree in Business/Finance an asset
