Fraser Downs Racetrack & Casino is seeking a qualified individual interested in furthering their career as a Security Officer. Security Officers are responsible to protect people and assets and ensure the integrity of Fraser Downs Racetrack & Casino. They do this by patrolling and monitoring the entire site, interior and exterior. They document and report on suspicious activities or future liabilities and work to prevent accidents or incidents of theft.
Qualifications
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 19 years of age, and legally eligible to work in Canada
• Experience in a Security or Law Enforcement position preferred
• Must have, or immediately acquire, knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, as it pertains to security operations
• Working knowledge of casino operations is preferred
• Must possess, or be willing to complete, Level 2 Occupational First Aid training, Gaming Security Officer Training and Serving It Right Certification
• Working knowledge of computers
• Must be able to obtain a valid Gaming License issued by the Gaming Policy Enforcement Branch
• Professional attitude and appearance, strong interpersonal skills, and a proven team player
• Must possess excellent verbal and written skills, in addition to analytical, observational and organizational skills
• Dependable and reliable with a demonstrated commitment to service excellence
• Must be available to work a variety of shifts including days, nights and weekends.
