Admin/Accounting Assistant (Richmond)

We are seeking an administrative/accounting assistant for a permanent position starting immediately.








********An applicant must have experience preparing quarterly consolidated financial statements and must know how to use Quick books.************











Responsibilities will include:





-Reception duties including answering and directing calls


-Providing clerical support through word processing, scanning, and other duties as assigned


-Updating and maintaining the company’s paper and electronic filing systems


-Ordering office supplies


-Making travel arrangements for company directors and staff


-Aiding with event planning


-Assisting with Internet research


-Distributing company material


-Accounts payable duties including reviewing, coding, and entering invoices into the company accounting program


-Updating cash reconciliation reports


-Taking bank deposits to the bank


-Assisting in the preparation of month end accounting reports and journal entries


-Assisting on accounting related projects as assigned


-Assisting with maintenance of the master portfolio administration schedule and following up on items due or incoming documents





Qualifications:





-A background in administrative and office management


-Excellent interpersonal and time management skills


-Proficiency in Quick Books, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint


-Strong business writing skills


-Accounting clerk experience


-Experience preparing quarterly consolidated financial statements.
