Duties :
Accounts Receivable:
• Create and send invoices.
• Manage records for contracts.
• Monitor invoice aging and follow standard procedures to collect payment from clients.
• Make collection phone calls. Write collection letters.
• Generate billing review for project managers.
• Invoice clients for progress payments, following directions from managers.
• Invoices are accurate and timely.

Accounts Payable:
• Receive and organize bills.
• Review vendor invoices for approval.
• Code Invoices to proper project.
• Post Invoices into Quickbooks.
• Pay bills on time.
• File documents of all types. Create labels and move files as needed.
• Generate and mail vendor payments.
• Research vendor statements, phone calls and discrepancies.
• File paid and unpaid invoices and statements.
• Organize all purchase orders, purchase invoices and checks.
• Maintain vendor files and work with vendors to resolve any discrepancies.
• Perform other accounts payable duties as assigned.
• Special projects as assigned.

Reporting:
• Reconcile bank account statements with bookkeeping data.
• Create cash reports.
• Generate accounting reports including P&L, overhead, costing and month-end.

opening in their Finance Department. This is a short-term, part-time, contract position.

Position: Full-cycle Bookkeeper/office assistant

Under the supervision of the CFO, the Controller will be responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting functions. This includes establishing, implementing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. The Controller will prepare financial reports and present findings and make recommendations to executive management.

Essential Functions:
Conducts and monitors financial accounting and tax matters related to the entire operation.
Establishes and supervises the effectiveness and adherence to all departmental budgets.
Completes and verifies monthly financial statement close.
Issues timely and accurate financial statements and related reports.
Develops, maintains and improves efficient systems of proper accounting, recording and internal control to safeguard the company's assets.
Establishes, implements and monitors procedures for the most cost effective purchasing methods.


Establishes and monitors benchmarks for each department and the company as a whole. Based on the reported results, makes recommendations for improvement and presents to management on a monthly basis.

Maintains tribal enterprises chart of accounts.
Performs the duties of subordinate personnel as required.
Maintains an awareness of applicable rules, laws and regulations, both internal and external, assessing their impact and developing methods to address them.
Makes recommendations on suggested improvements in casino financial operations compared to industry wide trends.
May staff, schedule, evaluate, train, develop and monitor subordinate personnel. May interview applicants for subordinate positions, assign work, grant overtime and early outs, discipline and train employees and recommend wage increases and promotions.
Maintains the security of designated areas and the confidentiality of all relevant information.
Promotes a working environment in which subordinates perform assigned duties within established guidelines, procedures and laws.
Assures that essential position descriptions, policies and procedures are in place to facilitate the smooth and effective functioning of the Accounting department.

What we're looking for in a candidate:

Previous casino gaming experience--DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET THIS REQUIREMENT

B.S. degree (or equivalent) in Accounting or closely related field.

Must be 21 years of age.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Washington State Class 3 Gaming License at the time of employment.

Demonstrated experience with automated accounting systems.

C.P.A. or M.B.A. preferred.

Excellent communication skills.

High level of computer literacy.
