CUSTOMER SERVICE (BEHIND THE SCENES)

--Ensure warehouse staff is kept up-to-date of all store procedures with regards to warehouse operations. Ie) Catalogue orders, special orders etc.

--Follow-up with customer inquiries in relation to the warehouse flow. Ie) merchandise inquiries, location of missing/misplaced stock etc.

--Ensure the necessary tools are available for staff to effectively assist customers. Ie) catalogues, customer-order info. etc.


MANAGING PRODUCTIVITY: Oversee the efficient delivery, storage and placement of merchandise to the warehouse and/or retail floor.

--Supervise, monitor and assist in the unloading of delivery trucks daily.

--Check for damage, shortages, overages and keep accurate records on all incoming merchandise and outgoing returns.

--Oversee the completion and submission of appropriate and accurate claims. Monitor and assist in the processing of authorized returns, adjusta-cards, truck claims etc. and ensure they are shipped properly.

--Ensure that all merchandise is properly sorted & stored.

--Assist department managers in coordinating the daily stock refill program.

--Supervise the daily staff to ensure the successful operation of the warehouse by preparing delegation lists and follow-up on the assigned tasks/provide regular feedback and assistance to staff.

--Open the store as scheduled.
When opening—ensure all staff are on time and are productive. Record all "lates" and "absences".

--Monitor staff adherence to store policies/procedures and take corrective action as required. Address staff violations in a timely manner. Control and address "time theft". Ie) excessive socializing, punctuality & length of breaks.

--Maintain Truck Productivity off-load Standards.

--Complete and communicate Truck Productivity Reports as required.

LOSS PREVENTION:

--Enforce guidelines and standards as set out by the company to prevent losses due to theft/shrinkage and control health and safety issues for staff and customers.

--Ensure the warehouse meets the regulation of applicable occupational health and safety legislation, WHIMIS and WCB. Enforces all safety precautions to avoid accidents, injuries, and damage to merchandise and personal. (Dangerous Goods Compliancy)

--Control shrinkage and damage stock. Report concerns to management.


MERCHANDISE PRESENTATION
--Develop, oversee and maintain warehouse layout for regular, seasonal and bulk storage. Assist department managers in the planning of seasonal changeovers with regards to stock issues. Assure the proper flow of merchandise to and from the warehouse.

INVENTORY CONTROL
--Report inventory concerns to management

--Follow-up on distressed merchandise, Ie) missing pieces damaged stock etc.

--Verify on-hand accuracy with regards to inventory.


TRAINING
--Provide orientation training to new recruits as required. Ie) store tour, explain job check-list, complete training check-list and return to Office.

--Ensure necessary certificates and courses are completed by yourself, and warehouse staff as required. Ie) Fork Lift Training, First-Aid Training.

--Communicate with staff any pertinent information regarding job expectations.

PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS
--Assist in the evaluation of staff assessments with regular feedback and input regarding staff performance.

DEVELOPING GROUP COOPERATION AND TEAMWORK
--Work as a positive role model toward goals while promoting team spirit and a positive attitude amongst staff. Encourage and build work relations that will lead to better exchange of ideas, more open communication and higher morale.

JUDGMENT AND DECISION-MAKING
-Analyze information or situation to make decisions. Be well informed prior to taking action. Act upon situations using best judgement.

COMMUNICATION:
--Keep department managers/senior managers informed of warehouse actions. Ie) truck schedules, merchandise concerns, movement of seasonal merchandise to and from off-site.

SELF-DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT

--Follow up in a timely manner, with all issues regarding the operation of the warehouse. Ie) staff issues/concerns, warehouse plans/goals

BUDGETS/SCHEDULING
--Demonstrate the importance of the stores guidelines on budgets, through scheduling according to the current needs of the store/warehouse. Ie) increases/decreases warehouse coverage via sales and/or needs,
Limits overtime, etc. Communicate and make suggestions with regards to scheduling needs. (increase/decrease of weekly man hours)

We are seeking a part-time Retail Sales Associate to provide the highest level of customer experience possible, while offering up to date, correct, and informative information regarding our products at our North Vancouver factory store.


Ideally you will have:
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends, evenings, holidays, and special events
  • Some knowledge of Arc'teryx product or outdoor equipment and outerwear
  • Previous retail or customer service experience
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Operation of POS system, processing of sales transactions
  • Greeting and engaging consumers in the store and on the phone, offering excellent customer service
  • Maintaining a strong understanding and descriptions of current product
  • Actively maintaining store appearance, keeping merchandise stocked and organized, while ensuring that the store itself is clean and well presented
  • Assisting with inventory counts when required
  • Assisting with re-stocking and pricing duties, including sale preparation as required
  • Participate in staff training and store events as required

Position Summary – Retail Merchandiser:


Key Responsibilities:

 Professional representation of Pareto – Field Division and our clients at the retail level
 Not afraid of a hard days work!
 A variety of tasks which include, but are not limited to any or all of the following:
• Constructing merchandise displays using Planograms
• Constructing backwall displays
• POP changeover
• Counter displays
• Verifying Planograms compliance


Skills and Qualifications:

 Prior experience in the retail or related areas ideally working with planograms
 Flexible schedule Mon-Fri daytime hours / willing to work long/extra hours when needed and available on short
notice, when required
 Willing to travel as required (travel time and mileage paid!)
 Detail oriented – able to read, understand and follow a store planogram
 Able to perform labour intensive work
 Possess own means of reliable transportation to-from job locations
 Access to reliable computer and internet on a daily basis
 Professional work ethic and communication skills

MATURE SALES CLERK REQUIRED (NORTH VANCOUVER)

We are pleased to offer the position of permanent part time sales clerk in a family owned full figure/plus size lingerie and clothing store on the North Shore. We have been in business for 18 years and have always had long term employees. We would like to find someone to fit in with our family that is looking for long term part time flexible employment.

ALL APPLICANTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO:

• Have a well groomed, presentable appearance.
• Be available daytime weekdays, and Saturdays.
• Must have excellent English, written, spoken and communication skills.
• Have good organizational skills, and able to work independently.
• Sales experience preferred, but not mandatory.
• Computer/windows experience an asset, but not mandatory.

DUTIES THAT WILL BE REQUIRED:

• Hands on customer service & sales, of all foundations, clothing and accessories.
• Phone: dealing with incoming calls, take messages, redirect or deal with as required.
• Receiving and preparing new stock.
• Re-stocking, organizing stock/visual displays, occasional stock counts.
• Preparing customer mail orders.
• Opening/closing of store, and cash balancing.
• Cleaning and general appearance of the store.
