As part of our newly established North American office and growing marketing team, you will be responsible for building and executing Indochino's public relations program. Building the program from the ground up, you will be working closely with the founders and team to ensure a strong and successful launch of Indochino into mainstream media.

On a broader scale, you will be in charge of Indochino's voice and messaging, playing a key role with all company related content. Everything from product write ups, to ad copy, to collateral content will be overseen and approved by you.

Essential Functions

- Review existing PR activities, create an aggressive PR plan for the year ahead, and execute on it. Wow the founding CEO with your ability to tell the Indochino story in a way he has never heard before, and pepper it with fresh customer insights and story hooks.

- Obtain quality, consistent coverage in top traditional publications and online media spots. We will have very high expectations on this one; and we look forward to you exceeding our expectations. Granted, it won't be easy.

- Identify, contact, and build deep relationships with key media people and influencers. You will be spreading the good word about Indochino and enabling people to look good and feel great in custom clothing. Some call this being good at selling, but you just do this naturally because you love making new friends.

- Develop a deep understanding of Indochino's customers and learn their language. This job is part translation. It will be up to you to take those amazing insights on customer needs that you discover and communicate them through the website in a compelling way that the consumer understands instantly.

- Be the point person for all Indochino messaging and content writing. Everything from product write ups, to style advice content, to ad copy, to spotting typos on the website. In short, you will be writing a lot, and it has to be great. Oh, and Indochino's CEO will have an opinion on your writing, so make sure your ego can take it.

- Work closely with the entire team to ensure messaging is consistent across the entire company. From customer service emails to operations processes, you will ensure we are dotting our 'i's' and crossing our 't's' consistent with our brand. It would be at this point that your 'I am a details person' would be really valuable.

Daily tasks & responsibilities:
