GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This person uses the paper copy of a customer order and picks the items from our warehouse for the customer. This can be items ranging from fruits/vegies, cereal, frozen goods, canned goods, etc. Careful attention to detail is required to ensure you are picking the right number of items as well as ensuring the best quality (e.g. no bruised apples). Basic English language and numerical skills are required. E.g. you must be able to speak and read English to understand what the items mean when you read them (e.g. cabbage, potatoes, canned tomatoes, etc.) and ensure you pick the correct amounts of each. The customer orders are packed into Rubbermaid bins and the delivery drivers pick up the orders by region/route.

HOURS OF WORK:
You must also be a morning person and be committed to working from 6.00am to approximately 2.30pm (depending on number of customer orders).

WORK WEEK:
Is from Tuesday to Friday

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be detailed oriented, read quickly and accurately, able to work under tight time lines/pressure, and handle physical work that involves lifting, bending, reaching, and standing for the most of the work day. Please note the environment is a very cool environment (around coolers and freezers), so individuals must be able to work in these kinds of conditions.
- Preference will be given to individuals with some general knowledge of organics, a positive attitude, great team spirit, strong interpersonal skills and familiarity with computers.
- Food Safe Level 1 Certificate an advantage.
- Speak and read English

COMPENSATION:
Base wage of $10.75 per hour
Probationary increase after 480 hours

A small automotive shop on Mitchell Island requires occasion automotive / general labor assistance. The work is occasional and is based on the job at hand.

Required Skills:

-general organizing of auto parts, some heavy lifting
-work with little supervision
-familiarity with cars, tools, preferably VW's (Mk3 and Mk4)


Typical work includes:

-automotive disassembly
-automotive work, such as assembly and cleaning
