We require an experienced Inventory and Costing Analyst for our Delta, BC location, to ensure accurate service levels are met for both internal and external users of the company's costing information. The position reports to the Manager of Accounting Systems & Analysis.

Key Functions and Accountabilities
• Ensure that costs allocated to products are accurate and updated on a timely basis
• Provide costing information and prepare pricing models to assist in product pricing process
• Review all product costs on a regular basis to ensure that they are reflective of current input costs
• Responsible for collecting, measuring, accumulating and interpreting all cost accounting information
• Prepare margin analysis by product, location and customer
• Maintain inventory sub-ledgers and reconcile these to the general ledger each month
• Perform month-end procedures as they relate to cost of sales and inventory
• Identify and analyze manufacturing variances, purchasing variances and inventory adjustments and provide root cause analysis and recommendations for corrective action

• Work closely with the Assistant Plant Manager in monitoring labour and machine productivity in addition to waster rates and determine their impact on current product costs
• Keep track of the relevant currency and freight rates and measure the impact of rate changes on product costs

Requirements
• 3 - 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
• 3rd/4th level CGA/CMA or equivalent
• Strong oral and written skills in English is a must
• A self-starter, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate with internal staff, a willingness to learn, embrace change and the ability to work in a fast paced environment is required.
• Experience in the food industry will be a definite strength for this position
• Comfortable in using MS Office applications and experience using a higher end accounting software package

Working closely with the Operations Controller, the AP Lead will be actively involved in all AP transactions and will lead the AP functions across the Canadian offices.

Key Functions & Duties
• Process consultants invoices
• Answers enquiries from vendors
• Ensure timely and accurate functioning of accounts payable department
• Maintain company wide policy and procedure of A/P
• Lead Vancouver A/P team
• Accounts payable liaison with clients, auditor and internal staff
• Process A/P transactions, including US AP
• Assist during testing and implementation stage of new business financial system
• Review and ensure accuracy of A/P postings
• Analyze A/P transactions

Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience, Qualifications, Skills, Abilities)
• Accounting Diploma or Degree coupled with a minimum of 5 years of related experience in an Accounts Payable role.

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and basic computer skills
• Understanding of job costing

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
