This is a great opportunity for individuals who are enthusiastic, self-motivated, patient, and enjoy playing/working with young children. Under the supervision of a consultant, you will work one-on-one with a child diagnosed with ASD in the child's home. Sessions are 2-3 hours at a time for 2-4 sessions/week. During your sessions, you will model age-appropriate play, communication, and social skills. You will incorporate specific goals during play and table-work and track progress.

looking for video editor (Vancouver)

Hi there, i have HD FOOTAGE (3 mini tapes) that needs to be edited to a 4 minutes music video for a local composer. I shot the film and originally would also edit it myself, however, i don't have the time to do it and we really need to finish this video as soon as possible.

You can edit it in your own prefer system (you must have your own editing suite), we only need the final result to be color correct , transition and perhaps some simple effect (filter, blur, focus, text..etc.)

we already had the first cut in Final cut express, however, you can either use that file or you can take a look and re-edit in your own preference.

Also, you don't need to worry about sound at all, as there is no syncing required. It's simply a video with music in the background. (it is a electronic vocal type of music)

Basically i need somebody to put the image together.

I also have the storyboard for you to edit (or simply watch the rough cut).

And last, you need to be able to communicate with the composer to achieve the vision he wants.


I'm mainly looking for anyone who has editing experience. No need to be professional, as i assume any film student (like myself) can do it well if you have time.

As indie production, everything we did so far have been free. However, i do know editing is a long lasting job and i also need it to be done as soon as possible.

So i'm offering $100-$400 depended on how fast and nice you can pull it off.

I am a tilesetter contractor and looking for sub-contractors to work with me. I will be honest that my offered prices are not too good because I bid on jobs for a little cheaper so I can get them. However, I know by experience that tilesetters are hard to work with because I am a tilesetter myself and we always make fuss about everything and try to make a buck from here or there, but I get store contracts mostly for much cheaper than I used to get them back 5 or 6 years ago. For example, I get a square foot for $4 to install 24"x24" porcelain tiles. I either do it myself or give it out to a tilesetter sub-contractor for $3 labor and leave $1 for materials and myself. Now the advantage with me is that I always have jobs available. For example, for VCT, I give it out for $.50/sqft labor only, but materials are on me. I give out regular ceramic installations for about $2/sqft. For granite 12"x12", I give it out for $4.5/sqft. And so on.....etc. Your speed is not a problem for me, but your finish is!! I pay extras when needed, for example, leveling is extra, jack hammering is extra, concrete feathering is extra, mud-bed installations are always extra, installing water-proof membrane is extra, polishing granite or marble coroners is extra, grouting with epoxy is always extra, slopping is extra,.... etc. I will be honest also when I say that extras do make some decent money. If I send someone to work in Victoria or another far area, I pay their hotel and travel charges. I try to be fair as much as I can, but I need some decent guy/guys to bare my prices and be honest with me. If you are interested & currently working or have a job, please don't waste my time and your time. Motivated Sales person needed

Tailor Canuck is a small business that works with Tailors in Vancouver, importing men's tailor made clothing for their customers.

We have an organized system for tailors to re-sell for us and need a person to approach them to get started. Your job would be to present our 50 page book that explains the business model and how they can get started.

We want someone part-time for as little as a few hours a week, we will pay you a lump some for getting a retailer to work with us plus percentage of on-going sales.

Once you have established a deal with a retailer then you will have re-occurring commissions as ongoing orders are done through email and fax. The orders would be faxed to us, and orders shipped directly to the customer.

Other benefits that we can offer you are custom made clothing at cost, which would be about 20% - 40% of what you'd pay retail in Vancouver.
You only need to have a few hours a week available. Our goal is to get 10 tailors going in 2009 where we anticipate each tailor getting 10 customers a month with a minimum order of $250 US. Each order would generate approximately $70US to you in commissions.
